For millennia across the Arabian Gulf and the sacred courts of the Levant, Oud (Agarwood) has been revered as the Wood of the Gods — a fragrant treasure more precious than gold. At Noor Al Oud, our story is entwined with ancient forests where venerable century-old Aquilaria trees silently mature under nature's divine hand.
True Dehn Al Oud is born not from synthetic alchemy, but from a rare natural phenomenon: when the heartwood of an ancient tree becomes naturally infected, it defends itself by producing a dense, dark, intoxicating aromatic resin. Master foragers, guided by generational intuition, harvest only fallen branches and fully matured wood, ensuring the sanctity of the living forest.
In our artisan distilleries in Assam and Cambodia, this precious resinous wood is hand-chipped, steeped in pure mountain spring water, and transferred into traditional wood-fired copper degs (distillation cauldrons). Connected by curved bamboo conduits to subterranean condensation vessels, the steam slowly coaxing out the golden, viscous tears of pure Dehn Al Oud over weeks of relentless day-and-night vigil.
